Video Surveillance

Hamilton International Airport may collect static or moving images of you via closed-circuit television (CCTV) or surveillance systems located in and around the airport. Hamilton International Airport may use CCTV/surveillance imagery for a number of purposes including but not limited to the following:

  • To maintain the safety and security of the airport for our passengers, colleagues, contractors and stakeholders
  • To monitor flows and demand throughout the airport to optimize resourcing and passenger experience
  • To support the effective management of the airport operation and any incidents

  • To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

CCTV and surveillance imagery may be disclosed to, handled and used by personnel, airlines, border system operators, police/security services, border authorities and/or third party service providers to maintain a safe, secure and efficient airport operation.

Under normal circumstances, your information could be retained for up to 30 days after which point it will be deleted. Imagery required for investigative or evidential purposes may be retained beyond the 30 days.
