HAMILTON, ON (September 25, 2017) – John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport officially kicks off its 2017/2018 winter program this week. As the leaves start to change colours and temperatures drop, Canadians will start to plan their winter getaways. Building on Hamilton International’s “Discover Canada” summer campaign, the Airport will continue to offer a wide choice of Canadian destinations in addition to warmer weather options in Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico. Beginning in November, seasonal flights from Hamilton to Orlando will resume. Then in December, travelers will be able to fly from Hamilton to Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico. Later in the winter there will also be the option to fly directly from Hamilton to Miami or West Palm Beach, Florida to board cruises in the Caribbean!

Highlights of the winter schedule include Canada coast to coast flight offerings including flights from Hamilton to Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax with WestJet. In addition to these domestic flights, WestJet will once again operate service from Hamilton to Orlando during the winter season.

Air Canada continues its twice daily flights to Montreal from Hamilton. These flights remain a great option for customers travelling to Europe and Asia via Air Canada’s hub in Montreal. Travelers can take advantage of Hamilton’s low-cost parking and fly direct to Montreal before connecting to destinations like London, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome, Brussels and other cities.

Flair Air will continue to operate flights to various cities in Canada such as Abbotsford, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. These low-cost flight options remain an attractive option for Canadians looking to explore the country or visit friends and family in western Canada.

Air Transat will offer flights to Cuba (Varadero and Cayo Coco), Dominican Republic (Punta Cana and Puerto Plata) along with Mexico (Cancun). Sunwing will also offer flights to Cuba (Varadero) and Dominican Republic (Punta Cana) along with significant growth in air service to Jamaica (Montego Bay).

In February and March, Celebrity Cruises will return to Hamilton International with two cruise options (Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Equinox) giving passengers from Hamilton plenty of choices to soak up some Caribbean flavour after embarking from the Florida ports of Miami and West Palm Beach. Celebrity Cruises will partner with Canadian North to provide the airlift for these cruise packages.
