In 1996, TradePort International Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vantage Group, entered into a 40-year lease agreement with the City of Hamilton to operate and manage John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. In 2024, the City of Hamilton and TradePort International Corporation finalized a historic $400 million agreement to further develop and expand Hamilton International over a 49-year term, extending the lease agreement until 2073.

John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport is a critical economic engine for the region and a key hub within Canada’s National Trade Corridor. To guide our long-term growth responsibly and sustainably, we have established our 2023–2043 Airport Master Plan.
Developed in deep consultation with our employees, business partners and the surrounding community, this 20-year blueprint assists our team in making strategic infrastructure decisions while remaining flexible to adapting social, economic, and environmental conditions.
