Hamilton International is subject to the Canadian Transportation Agency Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations and the provisions of these regulations that apply to it and the services that it offers to persons with disabilities and any conditions that apply to those services.

Accessible Ground Transportation

Accessible ground transportation options are available to and from Hamilton International, including vehicles capable of transporting non-folding or non-collapsible mobility aids.

Accessibility Features

Wheelchairs

Hamilton International is wheelchair accessible and all airlines operating out of the Airport have wheelchairs available for guests.

Accessible Washrooms

Available in Departures/Check-in, Departures Lounge, Domestic Arrivals and International Arrivals.

Service Animals

Pet relief stations are available both pre-security outdoors, immediately outside the Arrivals exit, and post-security in the Departures Lounge washrooms.

Accessible Seating

Available for travellers and visitors throughout the terminal building.

Screening Checkpoint

The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is a Crown corporation responsible for securing specific elements of the air transportation system – from passenger and baggage screening to screening airport workers. CATSA recognizes that travel can be challenging for passengers with special needs. Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard Program

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard Program is a globally recognized symbol for non-visible disabilities. Wearing the lanyard discreetly indicates that you may need additional support, help or more time.

Lanyards are available at the Information Desk and Operations Centre or can be requested by mail.
