Travel with confidence by planning ahead

What to Expect When You Arrive

Whether you’re checking a bag or travelling with carry-on only, knowing what to expect can make your airport experience even easier. Follow these simple steps to check in, drop off your baggage and make your way to the gate with ease at Hamilton International.

Check-In For Your Flight

At Hamilton International, there are several ways to check in for your flight. Be sure to review your airline’s check-in and baggage drop-off cut-off times before arriving to make sure you have plenty of time to complete each step of your journey.

Check in online or through your airline’s app up to 24 hours before your departure. Have your boarding pass ready on your mobile device or print a copy at home before arriving at Hamilton International. If you’re travelling with carry-on baggage only, checking in online before you arrive allows you to proceed directly to the security screening checkpoint, helping you save time and enjoy a smoother airport experience.

Guests travelling with Porter Airlines (excluding Basic fares) and Air Canada can take advantage of Hamilton International’s self-service kiosks for a faster, more convenient airport experience. Eligible passengers can use the kiosks to check in for their flight, print their boarding pass and print bag tags for checked baggage. After printing your bag tags, simply attach them to your luggage and proceed to the airline’s designated counter to check your bags.

Visit your airline’s check-in counter if you need to check a bag, require assistance or need to print your boarding pass. All airlines are located in one convenient check-in area, making it easy to find where you need to go.

Drop-off Checked Baggage (if applicable)

If you’re travelling with checked baggage, you’ll need to visit your airline’s check-in counter to have your baggage weighed, tagged and accepted for loading onto your flight. Hamilton International does not currently offer self-service bag drop; however, if you’ve already checked in and printed your bag tag using a self-service kiosk, you can proceed to your airline’s designated counter to complete the process. Baggage requirements, fees and allowances vary by airline, so be sure to check with your carrier before you arrive.
