Noise Management:

As one of the busiest cargo and courier airports in Canada, Hamilton International Airport runs a 24-hour day operation.  It is the Airport’s goal to ensure that noise is kept to the lowest practical level in order to minimize the impact on nearby residents.

Hamilton International has established a ‘Noise Management Advisory Committee’ to responsibly and proactively handle noise management.  The committee is comprised of neighbours, citizens, Airport staff and City councillors; the Noise Management Advisory Committee meets twice annually to review noise data and discuss improvements.

Airport Employment Growth District (AEGD)

Hamilton International Airport is a strong supporter of the City of Hamilton’s Airport Employment Growth District (AEGD), which is to be developed on lands surrounding the Airport.   The AEGD has been planned as an eco-business park that will meet the needs of businesses looking to relocate, expand or start operations.  For more information on AEGD visit the City of Hamilton’s website:
